– February 11, 2017″

My name is Freda Miklin and I am on the Greenwood Village City Council representing District 1. Our district, bound by Belleview and Orchard on the north and south, and Holly and Clarkson on the east and west, comprises what was essentially the entire City of Greenwood Village when it was first incorporated in the year 1950. I appreciate all that our city offers, particularly the unique and rare lifestyle afforded by our rural area, home to real country life, as well as the open space and countless trails that run throughout the city

My husband and I built our home here 25 years ago when we had one young son. He was followed by two sets of twins, who have grown and flourished in this wonderful city over the past 23 years, well educated by our public schools and supported by a strong and stable fabric of neighborhoods and community.

I love this city and after volunteering on its boards and commissions for most of the past twenty years, I have developed a real understanding of what makes it work so well. Moreover, I believe strongly in its values of strong residential single-family neighborhoods, unparalleled parks and trails, and a dynamic daytime business population housed in world-class office buildings, supported by first class retail establishments and a city staff of the best and the brightest people around.
